About Our Firm

With more than 40 years of experience, I have focused my practice on representing licensed professionals before disciplinary proceedings.  I understand the administrative processes unique to each professional licensing board. I have built my reputation on creating a relationship of understanding and trust with my clients. Many people walk through my door stressed and worried that they may lose their license and their livelihood.  I am able to clearly communicate the realities of the situation while we lay out a pathway that shows a light at the end of the tunnel.

I began my legal career as a criminal defense attorney. My extensive trial experience has earned me a respected reputation throughout the Washington legal community. Over the years I have gained significant experience from trial courts, on up through the appellate courts.  I defended clients for any number of criminal charges at both the state and federal levels.

In addition, I have been called upon to serve as a temporary judge in many courts here in Washington, which has given me additional insight into how cases look from both sides of the courtroom. This gives me a unique perspective in how the judges think and how they will likely respond to various defense tactics.  I use this information to better represent my clients, knowing that courtroom strategies have a real impact yielding a successful defense.

Ever since I started law school here in Seattle, I have committed myself to representing my the people of our community.  The majority of professional license administrative hearings take place in Seattle or in our state capital of Olympia.  With my office based here in the Seattle area, I am well-positioned to attend to the needs of my clients throughout the state before all types of disciplinary hearings.
